VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
1. Volunteers: Come for a few hours, a day or a week.
Volunteers can be used in many areas.
- Office work - phoning, research, library, and data entry.
- Maintenance - cleaning, painting, gardening and grounds
- Public events - ushering, welcoming, sales table workers, parking attendants
These are but a few of the many things that would bless our hearts.

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION

Summer is a time for faculty and staff to prepare for the next school year at Bethany College and we are always pleased to have helping volunteers on Campus during this time. Two years ago in 2008, three couples with the Roving Volunteers in Christ’s Service (RVICS) joined us for three weeks of maintenance work and this year two of the three returned to campus. They even brought along a few more friends so that in 2010, we had four RV campers here and even had a fifth couple join in for one of the weeks. It was a joy to have Cliff and Lydia Friesen, Rosthern, SK (Team Leaders), Barney and Bea Kroeker, Calgary, AB, Bob and Barbara Bushelle, USA, Oral and Pat Matheson, USA , and for one week, Richard and May Epp. They were involved in several maintenance projects on campus; replacing windows in guest rooms, replacing ceiling tiles, renovating (rebuilding) a bathroom in the lower music wing, painting window frames, and sewing large drapes for our stage and chapel. Gerald Schultz, the Maintenance Director, “We could not have accomplished many of these projects on our own and we have been blessed to be the recipients of their time, talents and energy. If I had to respond in one word, it is IMPRESSIVE! A Big Thank-you goes out to each member of the RVIC’s”. When Cliff Friesen was asked about the experience he said, “If someone would have told me in 50 years, I would be back in Hepburn Saskatchewan and working on Bethany Campus, I would not have believed it but life has its happy surprises. It has been so good to serve among you.” On behalf of the group, Barbara Bushelle wrote, “We have truly enjoyed serving Jesus alongside all of you! May God continue to bless the work going on here at Bethany.” As a College, we could not be the community we are, without the diligence and commitment of several volunteers during the year and we wish to thank each of you.
